About Dr Ed
Dr Ed Robinson founded his practice in 2022 with a clear idea of the care he wanted to offer: time to understand each patient, honest conversations about treatment, and results planned to look natural but noticeable. Today, Dr Ed Robinson Clinics brings that approach to our clinic in Hale, Cheshire, with regular Friday appointments at 104 Harley Street, London.
Dr Ed studied medicine at King’s College London, graduating with a clinical distinction and an additional degree in Anatomy, Developmental and Human Biology. That interest in anatomy remains central to his work. Understanding how the face changes over time, and how its structures work together, helps him explain why a treatment might suit one person but be entirely wrong for another.
His years working in NHS anaesthesia and intensive care shaped how he looks after people, too. Maternity anaesthetics was a particularly rewarding part of his work, supporting patients through moments that could be exciting, frightening and deeply personal. Working in intensive care during COVID brought a different set of challenges, reinforcing the importance of calm communication, careful judgement and taking the time to explain what is happening.
Those experiences still influence the atmosphere in his consulting room. There is space to ask questions, admit you are nervous and discuss what you would rather avoid. At our Hale clinic, his anaesthetic training also informs the use of nerve blocks and other measures to make suitable treatments more comfortable.
A consultation starts with what you have noticed and what you would like to change. Dr Ed considers the whole face, including skin quality, movement and changes in underlying support, before discussing the options. Sometimes that means combining treatments gradually. Sometimes it means advising against the treatment you originally had in mind.
As he often explains, “It’s a marathon, not a sprint.” The aim is to make considered improvements over time, with a plan you understand and expectations that are realistic.
Education extends beyond the clinic. Through social media, press commentary and teaching other practitioners, Dr Ed explains facial anatomy, discusses treatment safety and challenges misleading claims. His work includes contributions to Metro, including a front-page lead on AI images in consultations, Sky News, LBC and Aesthetics Journal.

How we approach your care
You do not need to arrive knowing which treatment you want. Explaining what has changed, what bothers you and what you hope to achieve gives us a much more useful starting point.
We spend time helping you understand what we are seeing. A concern that looks like a simple line or shadow may involve several structures, and treating one feature in isolation will not always give the improvement you are hoping for.
Your plan takes account of your anatomy, skin, medical history, budget and the time you can realistically allow for recovery. We explain what each option may achieve, its limitations and risks, and whether a gradual combination of treatments would be more appropriate.
At Hale, ultrasound can support assessment, treatment planning and complication management where appropriate. Topical anaesthetic, nerve blocks and skin cooling may also help make selected procedures more comfortable.
You should leave with a clearer understanding of your options and time to consider them. There is no expectation that you will proceed simply because you have come for a consultation.
