Jawline Slimming / Teeth Grinding

Botox treatments to the jaw muscles (masseters) are used to reduce the nerve supply to the muscle and make them less active. This treatment is available in my Altrincham Clinic, Cheshire and treats teeth grinding, jaw clenching (bruxism) and associated migraines.

The masseter muscle is one of the 4 muscles responsible for chewing. Interestingly, this muscle is the strongest muscle in the body relative to its size, allowing really high forces to produce a powerful bite!

Benefits of Jawline Slimming / Teeth Grinding Treatment

  • SLIMMER, MORE CONTOURED JAWLINE
Relaxes the overactive masseter muscles, creating a softer and more refined lower face shape. Ideal for reducing a square or bulky jawline without surgery.
  • RELIEF FROM TEETH GRINDING
Reduces clenching and grinding, which can ease jaw tension, pain, and headaches. Helps protect teeth from wear and damage caused by constant grinding.
  • IMPROVED COMFORT AND FACIAL BALANCE
Eases muscle tightness and discomfort in the jaw, especially noticeable when chewing or waking up. Creates a more balanced and relaxed facial appearance, enhancing overall symmetry.

What areas can be treated?

MASSETER MUSCLE
The primary treatment area — these muscles are responsible for chewing and clenching. Relaxing them reduces grinding, jaw tension, and pain, and can also slim the lower face for a softer contour.
TEETH AND BITE
By reducing clenching intensity, the treatment helps protect teeth from enamel wear, fractures, and sensitivity. Can also reduce morning jaw soreness and improve bite comfort.
HEAD, NECK AND FACIAL TENSION
Alleviates tension headaches, migraines, and muscle tightness linked to chronic clenching. Many patients report a feeling of overall facial relaxation after treatment.

What conditions can Jawline Slimming / Teeth Grinding TREAT?

Facial Slimming

At Dr. Ed Robinson Aesthetics in Altrincham, we specialise in non-surgical facial slimming treatments. These modern techniques offer a minimally invasive alternative to traditional procedures, providing a more defined and slimmer facial appearance.

Teeth Grinding

Teeth grinding, also known as bruxism, is a common condition often caused by stress or overactivity of the jaw muscles. It can lead to symptoms such as jaw pain, headaches, facial tension, and worn or damaged teeth. Treatment using small amounts of Botox injected into the masseter muscles helps to relax these overactive muscles, reducing clenching and grinding while still allowing normal movement and function.
