BBL/MOXI LASER AFTERCARE
Following your BBL or Moxi treatment, it’s essential to care for your skin properly to ensure optimal results and minimise risks. Please follow these guidelines carefully:
What to Avoid Until Sensitivity Subsides 🚫
Skincare products - Avoid scented lotions, soaps, exfoliants (e.g. Retin-A, glycolic/salicylic/alpha-hydroxy acids), acne creams, and gels.
Aggressive cleansing - Do not use loofahs or scrub your skin aggressively.
Extreme temperatures - Wash only with lukewarm water; avoid hot or cold water.
Shaving - Refrain from shaving the treated area.
Swimming & spas - Avoid pools and hot tubs with chlorine or multiple chemicals.
Heavy sweating - Postpone activities causing excessive perspiration.
Sun exposure - Avoid all sun exposure for at least 7 - 14 days and keep the area covered and apply a broad spectrum sunblock with SPF 30 or higher, reapplying every 2 hours
Comfort & Recovery Tips ✅
Cooling - Apply a cold compress or ice pack within the first 12 hours if the treated area feels especially warm.
Redness & swelling - Mild redness, swelling, or a sunburn-like sensation is normal and may last from a few hours up to several days. Applying ice for the first 24 hours can help reduce swelling.
Soothe the skin - Vitamin E or Aloe Vera may be applied to calm the skin.
Pain relief - Discomfort is usually minimal, but if needed, you can take oral pain relievers like Extra Strength Tylenol or Advil.
Skin Changes You May Notice
Freckles and sunspots may darken before flaking off naturally within 7-14 days, this is expected and indicates treatment effectiveness. Erythema (redness) and slight swelling around treated vessels can occur. Treated areas may appear lighter, smudgy, or less defined temporarily.

Following your PRP treatment, it’s important to care for the treated area properly to ensure the best results and a smooth recovery. Please review the guidance below:
What to Expect
Inflammation - Mild swelling or redness is common and typically settles within 24-48 hours.
How long it lasts - PRP effects generally last 4-6 months, though individual results can vary. Lifestyle factors like smoking, alcohol consumption, intense physical activity, and sun exposure can shorten the duration of your results.
What to Avoid 🚫
Active skincare - Avoid using active ingredients (e.g. retinoids, acids) on the day of treatment.
Alcohol - Refrain from alcohol consumption for 24-48 hours, as it can increase the risk of bruising.
Strenuous activity & heat - Avoid exercise, saunas, and steam rooms for 24-48 hours to prevent excessive sweating, which may worsen bruising.
Hair products - Use only a gentle shampoo (preferably baby shampoo) on the day of treatment; avoid styling products until the area has settled.
Comfort & Recovery Tips ✅
Over-the-counter antihistamines or anti-inflammatories can help ease inflammation and discomfort.
For scalp treatments, hair follicles need time to progress through their growth phase; results typically start to become noticeable after 4-6 weeks.
A course of 3-4 PRP sessions, spaced monthly, is usually recommended for best..
