What services do you offer at the Women’s Health & Menopause Clinic?

Who will I be seen by & how often?
All consultations are carried out by qualified medical professionals with training in women’s health and menopause care. Dr Julia Price
Most women have their second appointment around three months after their first appointment, with further follow-up appointments advised by your clinician based on your individual needs. Please note that to continue receiving a prescription from us, an annual review appointment with bloods is required.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No, you do not need a referral. You can book directly with our clinic. However, we are happy to collaborate with your GP if ongoing shared care is needed.

Is HRT safe?
HRT is a safe and effective treatment for many women when prescribed appropriately. During your consultation, we’ll discuss the risks and benefits based on your personal and family medical history, helping you make an informed decision.
Can I have hormone testing done at your clinic?
Yes. We offer hormone blood testing, depending on your symptoms and treatment goals. Dr Julia will guide you on which is most appropriate.
Can aesthetics and menopause care be combined?
Absolutely. Menopause can impact your skin, hair, and body in many ways. We provide integrated care, meaning you can address both your health and your appearance in one place. Treatments like PRP, skin rejuvenation, and collagen support can complement your hormonal health.
How much does a consultation cost?
Initial menopause consultations are £285 with follow-up appointments £185.
Will you prescribe HRT or supplements?
Yes. If clinically appropriate, we can prescribe HRT or recommend non-hormonal alternatives and supplements. We take a holistic approach and consider your preferences and medical history.
Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring a friend, partner, or family member for support during your consultation.

Is everything confidential?
Yes. All appointments and records are strictly confidential. We follow GDPR and all relevant healthcare regulations to protect your privacy.
Will my private healthcare cover the cost of the consultation?
Please check with your insurer but the majority do not cover menopause.
Do you offer remote and face to face consultations?
Currently we offer in person initial face to face consultation with follow up appointments 3 months later.
How long is a consultation?
Initial appointments are 45 minutes and follow ups are 30 minutes.
Do you prescribe testosterone?
Yes, if it is clinically indicated we will discuss this on an individualised basis. We normally ask you to have baseline blood levels before prescribing Testosterone. Prescribing is based on British Menopause society guidelines.
Do you prescribe bioidentical hormones
We prescribe body identical hormones as per NICE and BMS guidance. Bio-identical hormones are unregulated and not endorsed by the British Menopause society, so we do not prescribe these.
How do I contact the clinic for advice or questions in between appointments?
After your appointment you will be emailed with a detailed follow up letter. This will have advice and resources that usually answers most questions. If you have any further questions, we are happy to have a short, charged call or you are welcome to move your follow up appointment sooner. Blood results will be emailed to you.
How do I order repeat prescriptions?
Please contact the clinic and we will advise you accordingly.
